Louie Psihoyos, MU alum, won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Film, “The Cove.”

In a cove near the Japanese village of Taiji, fishermen use sonar to confuse and trap schools of dolphins, which are then slaughtered and sold fraudulently as whale meat. Although dolphin meat is dangerously high in mercury, this mislabeled food then finds its way into the lunches of Japanese schoolchildren.
