Brian Carlson is an humanitarian, non-profit, and editorial photographer who was born, raised, and still lives in Orlando, FL. He picked up his mothers Canon AE-1 at the age of 13 and has been in love with the medium ever since. Whether in the rotting landfills of the Philippines or the backcountry areas of Kenya and Sudan, he has trained his lens on the harshest regions of the world and pulled from them moving tales of suffering, redemption, and hope.
Brian believes there is great power in the photograph. He desires his photos to be a reflection of who he is. The concern he has for the people he photographs and his heart for the ignored and forgotten is what drives him to create.
