Kerri MacDonaldKerri MacDonald is the Social Media Photo Editor at The New York Times. She has worked as a photo editor on the Times’s Metro desk, on the homepage and in the Hong Kong bureau. Kerri got her start at The Times working with the Lens blog, first as an intern and later as producer and a writer. Before she moved to New York for grad school, Kerri worked for a small paper in Ontario’s cottage country and studied at a castle in the southeast of England. She’s a proud alum of the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism and Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband and spends most of her free time doing yoga, buying books she doesn’t have time to read and coming up with excuses to travel. She’s on Instagram most hours of the day.

On this episode I chat with The New York Times Social Media Photo Editor Kerri MacDonald about her career path and all things social. We talk about the importance of maintaining an active social presence and how she built, maintains, and launches all the NY Times accounts. Sit back, relax, and enjoy this episode of The Photo Brigade Podcast!
