Shin Woong-jae is a New York based photojournalist born in Seoul, South Korea. He graduated from School of the International Center of Photography, Documentary and Photojournalism course in 2012, and was awarded the ICP’s Director Fellowship during his studies.After finishing a full time internship at VII Photo Agency in New York in 2012, he started a professional career as a photojournalist mainly focusing on human rights issues and urbanization in social landscape. While developing long term projects, his versatility has satisfied various clients like The Washington Post, Bloomberg Businessweek, International New York Times and GQ Korea among others. He is a stock contributing photographer to Redux in New York and a contributing writer for PhotoDot Magazine in South Korea. He recently joined Eddie Adams Workshop XXVII, and was awarded Hillman Foundation Fellowship in 2014.
