My 2013 Year in Photos – by Aaron Lavinsky

Aaron Lavinsky

Grays Harbor, WA-based photographer Aaron Lavinsky shares his favorite photos from 2013.

2013 was non-stop right out the gate. It started with an internship at The Arizona Republic, a full course-load at ASU and then a cross-country move to Washington State to work for The Daily World. I’ve traveled to Puerto Rico to see my best friend get married, vacationed in Hawaii with my family, hiked coastal rainforest in Washington, camped in the Sierra Nevada mountains, all with camera in hand. Here are some photos, some from work and some personal, that have meant something to me. 2013 has been an amazing year, filled with opportunity after opportunity. I’ve made amazing new friends and covered some very important stories. As 2014 approaches, I can’t help but think that it will be even better. Thanks for helping me get to where I’m going, and as always, thanks for looking!
