Film adds a challenge to covering events. Put frankly, you can miss that shot. Time is important and with digital you can adjust your settings quickly to get that perfect shot when you see it. There is also the added time of processing and with most deadlines during or immediately after an event its almost impossible to work for a news agency and shoot film anymore. But I always like a challenge and since I’ve grown up in a digital world, I think its important to understand what those who made this industry were facing. No, not everything came out perfect but hey, you live, you learn, and you keep shooting.
