I’m sitting in my brother’s living room in San Francisco, just 2 days ago I was along the Vietnam/China border doing a story for The New York Times about human trafficking. The story focused around an amazing woman named Mrs. Mai and the co-op she started for victims of human trafficking.
Walking around and exploring the village I was greeted by curious locals with warm smiles. The small village looks like most in the province of Ha Giang, beautiful green landscapes filled in with villagers draped in colorful clothing working in the fields.
