Brooklyn-based freelancer Matthew Taplinger recently photographed Lollapalooza in Chicago.

I’ve been photographing live music for over a decade now, as it combines my two passions into one art form. The past 3 years I’ve had the fortune to shoot for C3 presents as part of the photo teams for Lollapalooza and ACL Fest. I recently got back from this year’s Lolla hijinx in Chicago’s Grant Park, where I tried to focus on shooting a series of feverish front row fans at any given stage over the weekend.
