Sarah Zemunski is an animal photographer based in Lincoln, NE and keeps busy shooting portraits of all of kinds furry, feathery, and slithery creatures.
Photographers shoot a lot (well most do). Sometimes one shot will take 200-300 images. My hard drives are full of gigs and gigs of files that didn’t make the cut, and I will probably never use again. Why not delete them to save space? NEVER! Don’t ever do this! Keep everything you’ve shot. Looking back at old work can be a learning experience, Sometimes I’ll use elements of my reject shots for other images, like a sky or cat eyeball! These 2 photos I attached are both from random occasions, and I never ended up using them for anything. A revisit to my image archive led me to discover them. I never liked them before, but with some cropping and tonal adjustments, they were added to my website. You never know what you might find later that you didn’t see before.
