Flood Town – by Joshua Anderson

Nashville-based photographer Joshua Anderson has been shooting a project the wide-spread flooding in the mid-west and northeast after the record snowfall of 2009-2010 began to melt.

As snow from the unusually wet 2009 winter began melting, many of the rivers in the Mid-West and east coast started to flood.  While Cincinnati did not get hit as bad as other cities in North Dakota and elsewhere, the Ohio and Little Miami Rivers did reach just about to flood stage, leaving homes and communities along the river banks underwater.

All in all, I spent three days driving up and down the Ohio and Little Miami Rivers, wading waist deep in freezing cold river water, and getting to know a city that I grew up in better than I ever had before.
