San Francisco-based Alicia Vera has been documenting the exotic dancers at the Roaring 20′s, a local strip club, for over a year.  She is also in the process of making portraits of the dancers at home.
I was so happy when Hope texted me a couple of nights ago to let me know that she was back at the Roaring 20’s. I met her a couple of years back at the club and she was one of the first dancers to let me shoot her. I told her about my side project (portraits of the dancers at the club/home) and she quickly jumped on board. We had lots of trouble scheduling a time to shoot, then she quit, went to another club, and now she is back. Thanks to her wanting to participate in my project, I now have another diptych.
